Oven Pin Chain

Diamond® Oven Pin Chain is specially designed for operations that transfer and cure thousands of cans per minute. We offer two styles of this chain:

  • ANSI Standard Series Chain: Modified for additional clearances to accommodate the high temperature drying ovens and to allow more lubricant to enter the critical pin/bushing joint.
  • XLO O-Ring Chain: Utilizes a special compound o-ring that allows operation in high temperatures and seals in lubrication while sealing out contaminants.

Because of the variability in applications, Diamond offers numerous tips and pin extensions. These pins are built into the linkplate itself – not as an “add on” attachments.

Features & Benefits

  • Materials

The Diamond Difference begins with raw materials that meet exacting standards for metal grade, mechanical properties, carbon and alloy content to ensure minimization of impurities that impact tensile and fatigue strength.

  • Fabrication

Diamond designs each component to exacting dimensional standards for optimal performance. Our Oven Pin chain can be constructed with Standard Series chain or XLO O-Ring chain to meet your application’s needs. Due to the variability of applications, we offer numerous tips and pin extensions.

  • Heat Treatment

Strict control of atmosphere, time and temperature optimize the material properties – increasing strength, durability and wear resistance.

  • Shot Peening

Proprietary shot peening equipment was developed specifically to ensure consistent intensity and coverage of components. Shot peening adds a layer of compressive stress that helps components resist fatigue failure when exposed to repeated high loads.

  • Lubrication

We use a proprietary lubrication process on all lubricated chains for enhanced corrosion protection and extended wear life. Choosing the o-ring option seals specially formulated into every joint, adding an extra layer of protection.

  • Preloading

Following assembly, all chains are preloaded to firmly seat the pins and bushings. This is to reduce initial run-in and extend the wear life of the chain.
